Resumen

Este trabajo analiza algunos de los problemas que presenta la datación cronológica durante la baja Edad Media en la Corona de Aragón. El estudio se centra en los diplomas generados en la cancillería real de Jaume i de Aragón en los años previos y posteriores a la toma de la ciudad andalusí de Mallorca (1230). Su correcta datación, que resulta especialmente importante para construir el relato de los acontecimientos que tuvieron lugar durante las operaciones de conquista, ha sido objeto de interpretaciones diversas por parte de los investigadores, que se debaten en el presente artículo.

This work analyses some of the problems that chronological dating presents during the full Middle Ages in the Crown of Aragon. The study focuses on the diplomas generated in the royal chancery of Jaume i of Aragon in the years before and after the capture of the Andalusian city of Mallorca (1230). Its correct dating, which is especially important for constructing an account of the events that took place during the conquest operations, has been the subject of various interpretations by the researchers discussed in this article.
