Abstract

In this work, I propose to analyze first-person, second-person, and third-person perspectives in literature. To do so, I will begin by using perspectivist philosophy to define personal perspectives and first-person, second-person, and third-person perspectives. After that, I will show that literature becomes an ideal space for perspectivist philosophy and the analysis of personal perspectives due to the “perspectivist structure” of certain literary works. Finally, I will focus on analyzing three works by Hervé Guibert as a current and significant example that contributes to a complex analysis of personal perspectives, their contents, and the relationships established between them.
