Abstract

El presente ensayo tiene como objetivo ofrecer una panorámica de algunas de las obras más importantes que se han realizado en el mundo del cómic autobiográfico desde una perspectiva feminista. De este modo, el análisis parte del Persépolis de Marjane Satrapi, que se configura como un hito esencial para comprender la expansión de la autobiografía y la memoria personal a través de la novela gráfica. El relato hace especial hincapié en los trabajos realizados por mujeres, desde las pioneras del underground como Aline Kominsky-Crumb o Joyce Farmer hasta dibujantes del calado de Julie Doucet, para acabar finalmente con una de las autoras más aclamadas del cómic autobiográfico contemporáneo: Alison Bechdel.
