Submissions may adopt either a theoretical approach or present empirical analyses of policy implementation at the micro level.
Issue Coordinators:Miguel Laparra Navarro, Sandra Siria Mendaza, and Víctor Sánchez-Salmerón (Public University of Navarre – UPNa)
Submission Deadline:September 30, 2025
The journal AIS invites submissions of original and rigorous articles that examine the transformation processes of social services in the face of emerging social risks. This special issue aims to foster a critical and comparative reflection on how phenomena such as demographic ageing, changes in family structures, migration flows, and social exclusion dynamics are reshaping social protection models and the effective guarantee of citizenship rights.
Priority will be given to contributions that, from theoretical, methodological, or applied perspectives, address:
- Territorial asymmetries,
- The challenges of multilevel and multisectoral governance,
- And the reform, innovation, and adaptation strategies in social services systems.
