"I am the androgyne": Reflections on Gender and Language in the Poetry of Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton and Adrienne Rich

En este ensayo, algunas líneas de «La extraña» de Adrienne Rich sirven de punto de partida para esbozar los enfoques habituales del lenguaje femenino en el feminismo contemporáneo angloamericano y francés. Se analiza la obra de tres poetisas norteamericanas representativas -Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton y Adrienne Rich- para ilustrar las cuestiones teóricas tratadas en la primera parte del ensayo. A continuación se presenta una conclusión en la que se propone la androginia como concepto útil para caracterizar la poesía femenina contemporánea.
